Indian Institute of Natural Resources Management

Challenging Poverty, Building Resources

The Indian Institute of Natural Resources Management (IINREM) was founded in 1991. Our mission is to help people in rural and semi-urban communities in India develop the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s economy through sustainable development practices that support natural resources.

Since 1991, the organisation has implemented over 120 projects with the support of the central Government of India, several State Governments and the governments of Japan and UK. These projects have benefited more than 26000 people in the northern Indian States of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Punjab.

Today IINREM’s projects are focused on employment generation and sustainable livelihood development. The beneficiaries of our work are mainly women, minorities, the physically challenged and rural and urban marginalized people. With our help, they are able to build marketable skills, gain employment and generate income for themselves and their families.
